Uni Bern Keep Their Promises
… even if it takes a very long time.
I just got a mail from the Uni Bern, informing me that I’ll get a new ID card for my last semester there (which I won’t have time to spend on campus).
The really great thing will be the fact that I’ll be able to use that card to make copies on, like, two copiers on the whole campus. Never mind that the IT services promised that already when everyone got the first versions of those cards — which was when I started studying.
Seven years ago …
Now they claim one could use those cards to pay at the Mensa. Sometimes in the future … A conservative guess would be that this will take another five to ten years.
I have two of those cards again, one validated in a completely unreadable way and one not accepted for validation. Doing some copies or pay something? Forget it :-)
