Basically, I got the letter already on friday. But yesterday was Polymanga, so there was no time for blogging. And I didn’t even expect it to arrive that early.

It was already 10pm on friday when my flatmate came into my room. “You’ve got mail” he said. I shrugged – “From whom?”, continuing to slay one of those Root Slashers in World of Warcraft.

He looked at me. “Well, from whom could it possibly be?”

I stopped dead.

Dashed to the kitchen, ripped open the envelope and unfolded the letter with shaking hands.

How could I better celebrate than jumping around in WoW and shouting into the channel?¹ I mean, after all – allow me that much unusual display of emotion in caps-lock – not every day
