Placing Images in Microsoft Word for Mac

Woven at 2008-02-17T17:35, coloured with , , , , , , .

For future reference: Images placed in Microsoft Word for Mac v.X (yes, that’s quite an old version now) only print when having a width of less that 4096 pixel. Height seems to have no influence, neither does the colour mode (experiments have been conducted with both a 8bit-RGB TIFF and a Bitmap TIFF). And I don’t know if this still affects later versions of Microsoft Word for Mac.

Otherwise, there will just be a blank space.

may i suggest using LaTeX, then you’re not limited to any size….

You may – unfortunately, the problem cropped up in a document I had to prepare for my mother, so neither LaTeX nor InDesign (which would be my choice) were an option.
