Creating a Sixth Sense

“And when my four closest friends and worldmates send me dozens of updates a week for five months, I begin to develop an almost telepathic awareness of the people most important to me.” Clive Thompson rounds it up nicely – and I already know it works. Since my twitter messages are mirrored as status messages on IM, my friends always have an idea of what I’m doing – and more often than not I am asked about it. The fun is limited, thou, since few of my friends embraced that as well. The information flows only in one direction, even if plazes, where some of my mates have an account, added that functionality as well.

Of course – everyone else blogging about that interview Gamasutra had with Blizzard is fretting about that mysterious team 3…. “World of Warcraft is about 135 people, 40 for Starcraft II, 40 for team 3, our cinematics team is about 85 guys.” That explains a lot of things. Not only do they have their own dedicated cinematics team, it is also more than twice as big as the development teams of two of their games!
