Looks like I start some sort of a tumble-blog … just like the always funny to read Anarchaia

Tumble-bloggy posts will appear under the category Wok … I briefly considered Obstsalat, but decided against it, even if the concept of “throw everything into a bowl/pan and see what happens” is the same.

Since del.icio.us ate most of my bookmarks of blogs by media companies yesterday, I’m forced to redo that again. Maybe it’s not even that bad: at least I have to rethink my categories I used first.

Take, for example, the category “comments”. First intended as a simple binary decision (comments:yes / comments:no), it does, in fact, not tell you much: up until now, I never used the “comments:no”. What does that mean?

Seems like comments are part of what I’d call an unconscious definition of blogs, that is respected by media companies when setting up new blogs. So, let’s add the category comments:yes:moderated. But wait – the real question would then be: how heavily are comments moderated?

To find out, I’d have to monitor all the comments of all the blogs – which is with my limited ressources near impossible.

Yet another question: How do you define whether a blog is updated regularly or not? Must ask some of my statistics-savy friends …
