Chiaroscuro
Thanks to Sveta’s livejournal, I discovered the spanish photographer Eugenio Recuenco. With a good eye for the weird and wicked and a talent for exceptionally good lighting he creates haunting images verging at the edge of the surreal and grotesque, resembling renaissance and baroque paintings.
He is also the photographer for the 2007 Lavazza calendar, which in the wake of the ongoing hype for super-hero movies (and games, for that matter) portrays some coffee heroines. Don’t ask …
